John Joe Nevin and Jason Quigley have both taken gold at the European Boxing Championship in Minsk, while Michael Conlon has narrowly lost his final and taken home a silver medal.

Nevin took all three rounds of his final against Mykola Butsenko to win the gold medal, while Quigley beat Juratoni Bogdan of Romania in the middleweight final.

Nevin took all three rounds of his final, with a relatively straightforward performance, winning the fight with scores of 30-27, 29-28, 29-28. It is Nevin’s first European gold medal.

Michael Conlon was somewhat unfortunate to come away from his fight, with Welshman Andrew Selby, with silver after a split decision.
