Munster head coach Anthony Foley has confirmed that Donnacha Ryan will miss this weekend's Pro 12 derby against Connacht.

Ryan stepped up his recovery from a long-standing foot injury when he started for Munster A against the Ulster Ravens last week.

But the second-row picked-up a head injury during that game in Nenagh and will miss this weekend's action because of concussion.
