Rory McIlroy admits it wasn’t “glamorous” but he is happy with his first round of the year.
The world number one is two off the lead at the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship following an opening 67 in the desert.
“To shoot 67 first round of the year is nice,” said the Ulsterman. “How I got to that 67 wasn’t glamorous at times. There’s a couple of things to work on if I want to win this tournament.”
