Waterford fell to a disappointing 14 point defeat at Semple Stadium today as Derek McGrath’s side found they couldn’t force a repeat of the close contest of a fortnight ago at the same venue.

McGrath spoke to Newstalk’s Oisin Langan in the aftermath of the game, and admitted “ We met a superior force and we’ve no complaints...Cork swamped us today.”

McGrath admitted the Deise’s failure to deal with Cork’s tactics, was particularly disappointing.  

“Unfortunately when you know a team is going to bring that...and you think you’re prepared for it...you know it was coming and yet you didn’t prevent it. That’s disappointing from a management point of view,” McGrath said.
