Damien McGrane has finished his final round at the Africa Open in South Africa 3 shots off the lead.
4 birdies and an eagle in the first seven holes set McGrane off to a dream start and from that point he was able to maintain, although not extend, his gains on the leaders. A birdie and a bogey on the back 9 ensured a 6 under score of 65 and 16 under par overall.
A four strong group - consisting of South African Thomas Aiken, American John Haan and English duo Ross Horsey and Oliver Fisher - lead the way on 19 under par.
Michael Hoey shot a 1 under par 70 today to finish on 8 under par.
American William McGirt leads the way after the third round at the Northern Trust Open in California last night.
McGirt is on 12 under par, 2 shots clear of the field.
There are no Irish still in the competition, after both Padraig Harrington and Darren Clarke missed the cut.
