The Armagh county board hold a meeting tonight when Kieran McGeeney is expected to be confirmed as the new manager of their senior footballers.

The 2002 All Ireland-winning captain was part of the backroom team under Paul Grimley, who resigned as manager last month.

The former Kildare manager is now widely expected to be appointed as Grimley's successor.

Armagh reached this year's All Ireland quarter-finals, losing narrowly to Donegal.
