Mayo manager Frank Browne praised Dublin as they beat his side by 4-11 to 0-11 at Croke Park on Sunday in the final of the TG4 Ladies All-Ireland Senior Football Championship.

Speaking to Off the Ball's Oisin Langan after the match, he said: "Fair play to Dublin and fair play to Mick (Bohan) - he had his homework done. A couple of sin bins killed us as well where it allowed them to double-up but we certainly, I suppose, in the first 10 or 15 minutes - we were well in the game but that dominance wasn't showing on the scoreboard at all so the sin bin kind of killed them.

"But I think we actually weathered the storm of the sin bin really well in the first half...and we're going in at half-time and we're not really playing that well but we're right in this game.

"In the middle of the second half, there was a period of five or six minutes where it was 1-8 to 0-8 and it was going to be 'next score is the winner' - Dublin got it and drove on and we didn't but fair play to Dublin - they were very good as well in fairness to them.

"We can have no complaints and maybe the scoreboard flattered them a little bit at the end but we kind of felt on the sideline with ten minutes to go when we were four or five points down in an All-Ireland final - if we are going to die, let's die with our boots on and go for this so we started committing people forward," he added.
