Manchester United are still hopefull of signing Barcelona's Cesc Fabregas according to David Moyes.
The Red Devils boss said negotiations are ongoing for the former Arsenal playmaker, even though Barcelona have reiterated that the Spain midfielder will not leave the club.
As early as this morning, club team-mate Alex Song who also played alongside Fabregas at Arsenal, said that he expected the 26-year-old to stay, echoing comments by his close friend Gerard Pique and Andres Iniesta.
But that has not prevented United from continuing the pursuit, banking on Fabregas' faltering first team status at the Nou Camp.
Moyes also moved to quell talk of Shinji Kagawa leaving the club. He said the Japanese midfielder will play a big role for them this season.
