Manchester United's stuttering start to the Premier League got a whole lot worse tonight after a 4 - 0 defeat to MK Dons in the League Cup.

The Reds went 1 - 0 down on 25 minutes after Will Grigg capitalised on an error by the returning Jonny Evans.

Grigg would add a second after the hour mark, chesting the ball past goalkeeper David De Gea, before Arsenal loanee Benik Afobe added two more goals for MK Dons as Man United slumped to a humiliating defeat in their first League Cup second round appearance since 1995.
