Liverpool have told Luiz Suarez that he can talk to Arsenal. But they have repeated that they have no intention of selling their star striker.
Suarez has told the Reds that he wants to speak with Arsenal after the Gunners triggered a clause in his contract when they tabled a bid of just over £40 million pounds last night.
Despite being given permission to speak to their Premier League rivals, Liverpool have insisted that they will not consider selling the 26-year-old until Arsenal match their £50 million valuation of him.
They believe Suarez' transfer value should not be less lucrative than the amont they received from Chelsea for Fernando Torres.
Arsene Wenger is under pressure to sign Suarez after missing out on Gonzalo Higuain, who is set to join Napoli from Real Madrid for around €40 million.
