Liverpool have confirmed that they have agreed a deal in principle to sign Bayer Leverkusen's Emre Can.

The Germany Under-21 midfielder made 29 appearances in the Bundesliga this season.

The deal will go through when the necessary documentation is completed.

He will then become Liverpool's second signing of the summer, following the arrival of Rickie Lambert from Southampton.
