Two late Roma goals mean Cork City have lost 3-1 in their UEFA Youth League first leg clash.

The game had been in the balance at the half-way stage with Cork's Aaron Drinan's 20th minute goal having cancelled out an opener from Roma's Davide Frattessi.

Cork won a penalty after half-time after a foul from Roma's Marco Tumminello.

However, Drinan could not convert from the spot.

Roma then struck twice with the match entering the final five minutes, with Eduardo Solari and Filippo Franchi scoring the final two goals to make it 3-1.

The second leg will take place on November 23rd.
