Former Cork footballer and All-Ireland winner Paudie Kissane says he won't be replacing Ronan McCarthy in the Rebels’ backroom team.

Kissane confirmed that he has left the Clare set up, but says his move has no link to any other job.

In hurling news, Daithí Waters says he may become available to the Wexford team next season.

The St Martins player told the Irish Examiner that he'd love to give hurling "a real shot," and that he took part in a gathering of Liam Dunne’s squad last weekend.

Wexford's Lee Chin is also among a small number of players who have committed solely to the county’s hurling squad this year, despite a previous involvement with the footballers.
