Despite a very early scare Dublin have completed a straightforward and convincing win over Kildare.
Jim Gavin’s side advance to the Leinster SRFC final, with a 4-16 to 1-9 win over Kildare, despite falling 5 points behind in the opening minutes of the game.
Dublin goals came from Paul Mannion, Bernard Brogan, Diarmuid Connolly and Eoghan O’Gara.
From the time Kildare made it 1-5 to Dublin’s 1-7, shortly before the end of the first half, to the end of the game, they were outscored 3-9 to 0-4 by Gavin’s men.
As the first 35 minutes on the clock elapsed the gap was just two points, but a stoppage time goal from Bernard Brogan at the end of the first half made it 2-7 to 1-5 for the Dubs and from there they never again allowed Kildare get close.
