Kerry coach O’Neill on preparing for the All-Ireland

Kerry's Dr Cian O’Neill is one of Ireland's most sought after coaches.

It’s not just his ability to get a group of individuals fit for a collective purpose, but also his tactical and coaching skills.

O’Neill was fitness coach to the Tipperary hurlers in 2010 when they won the All-Ireland, and was involved with Mayo when they reached the All-Ireland football final in 2012.

Premier county hurler Lar Corbett is among O’Neill’s fans, and has been known to say that everywhere the Kildare man goes success follows.

The records back up Corbett’s statement: 34-year-old O’Neill coached Newtownshandrum to Cork and Munster titles, Monaleen to a Limerick football title, and the UL Huskies, a basketball team, to Superleague and national titles.

I caught up with O’Neill to ask him about his career as a coach and what it takes to prepare the Kingdom for another final. Listen to that interview here:
