With an up and down 2015 for Irish rugby coming to an end, Keith Wood and The Irish Times' Gerry Thornley joined Off The Ball for the final Wednesday Night Rugby of the year.

One of the talking points was the situation at Munster as the province lie sixth in the Guinness Pro 12 table after home defeats to Connacht and Leinster in the last couple of months.

Gerry described Munster as "the most worrying of the four provinces" at present, while Keith spoke of changes that can be made to help head coach Anthony Foley get the two-time Heineken Cup winners back pointing in the right direction.

Keith also talked about his worries about the lack of players coming through the Munster academy, while Gerry made an interesting point about the importance of a strong All-Ireland League.

Keith and Gerry also reflected on rugby in 2015 both internationally and provincially as we move to the cusp of a new year, and talked about how quickly Leinster youngster Garry Ringrose should be drafted into the Ireland team.

"I would like to see him in the squad," said Keith of a player he has that something "special".
