Katie Taylor has won gold at the European Games in Baku. 

The Bray fighter defeated French fighter Estelle Moselly in the Lightweight Final at the European Games. Taylor won the fight by unanimous decision. The three judges scored the fight 40-36, 40-36, 39-37.

The win gives Taylor her eighteenth gold medal at an international tournament and her first at the European Games.

The gold medal is Ireland's first at the games. Later today Michael O'Reilly fights in the Men's Middleweight final against an Azerbaijani opponent.
