A dramatic finish at Hampden saw three goals in the final few minutes as Scotland drew 2-2 with England.

Leigh Griffiths struck two late free-kicks to give the hosts a 2-1 lead heading into stoppage time - but Harry Kane equalised in the 93rd minute.

It was Griffith's first goals for his country and he admitted afterwards that he was happy to get off the mark.

"Every time I put on the jersey I want to score goals," he told Sky Sports. "The most important thing was trying to get the three points. I was just trying to do my best for the team. 

"Ultimately it's not three points, but could be a massive point in the end."

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had given the visitors the early advantage.

England manager Gareth Southgate said he believed his side could fight back after falling behind and preserve their unbeaten status in Group F.

"We're 2-1 behind in injury time and the board goes up," he said. "Our body language was good. We stuck with it and showed tremendous character to come back. 

"That's an important moment for us as a team."

There was late drama in Baku too, where Northern Ireland scored in the 92nd minute to beat Azerbaijan 1-0.
