Jose Mourinho stormed out of a post-match interview after his side scuppered a major opportunity to advance on a Champions League qualification spot last night.

In a round of fixtures where all four of the top teams dropped points, they failed to capitalise last night as Hull City held them to a goalless draw.

Despite continuing their unbeaten run of games, they still sit in sixth position, four points adrift of Liverpool in fourth place on the table. It's also their third successive draw following clashes with Stoke and Liverpool.

The frustration of the night was succinctly reflected in Jose Mourinho's post-match demeanour in an interview with BBC Sport.

When asked for his overall impression of the game, he gave a curt reply.

"We didn't score. You don't score, it's not possible to win."

He then went on to comment on Hull's performance and implied that they played the referee into their favour.

"Hull City, they tried to see where they could go, the way they could behave. They tried to see what the referee would allow them to do."

"They had feedback, they were comfortable then to do what they did and I'm not critical of that because they are in the position they are, they are fighting for relegation. Every point for them is gold."

When asked to elaborate on what exact incidents he was referring to, Mourinho walked away from the interview.

"Well if you don't know football, you shouldn't be with a microphone in your hand."
