Earlier this week, Adidas offered a $1million island to any NFL Combine participant who broke the 40-yard dash record.
On Saturday afternoon, University of Washington wide-receiver John Ross ran the 40-yards in 4.22 seconds beating Chris Johnson's of 4.24 seconds from 2008. The 22-year-old wont get the island though, as he was wearing Nike boots, signing a deal with the company before the Combine.

Ross had to break the record in a pair of Adidas boots, if he wanted the island, but the record-breaking time is sure to improve his Draft hopes next month in Philadelphia.
The 22-year-old was predicted to be a first round pick before the Combine, but he may now push his way into the top-ten on the back of his performances in Indianapolis.

Last season Ross scored 19 touchdowns for the Washington Huskies on their way to a 12-2 season, before losing in the Peach Bowl to Alabama in the College Football Play-Off semi-finals.
