Rangers midfielder Joey Barton will return to full-time training with the club.

The Scottish Premiership side said in statement that they will "inform the player of appropriate arrangements to which he must adhere".

The one-time England international's been suspended since the end of September following a training ground incident.

He had been sent home after a "blazing" row with staff and team-matesaccording to The Daily Record.

That had followed the 5-1 defeat to Celtic in the first Old Firm league derby of the season in Scotland.

The initial ban from training had been extended by a further week in October as uncertainty reigned over his future at Rangers.

But in a statement on the club website, Rangers said: "Joey Barton has been told he will return to full-time training following the conclusion of a disciplinary procedure.

"The Auchenhowie management team will inform the player of appropriate training arrangements to which he must adhere for as long as he remains a Rangers player. Neither the Club nor the player will comment further."

Barton had also been charged with betting on 44 football matches by the Scottish Football Association.
