JJ Delaney joined Adrian in studio this week to talk about life away from hurling. The eight time All Ireland winner, retired from the inter-county scene after last years All-Ireland win against Tipperary after a replay.

Delaney makes his debut as a pundit later today as Sky Sports have live coverage of Galway and Laois in the Leinster Semi-Final. "It's an opportunity that you couldnt really turn down", Delaney told Adrian about taking the offer from Sky. "You're appreciating the game a lot more now. You dont have any hidden agendas" when watching games.

The multiple All Star spoke about other recently retired Kilkenny stars becoming pundits. Delaney told Adrian that his time as a player was for the benefit of Kilkenny and "the spirit" in the squad, and thats why many players rarely gave much away to the media. "People are looking for anything to jump on."

Ahead of Kilkenny's championship tomorrow, Delaney thinks that his home county are in prime position to retain the All Ireland title, thinking they will be "there, or there abouts".

JJ was speaking to Adrian as Sky Sports will show 20 live games from the GAA this season as part of an unrivalled summer of sport which includes international rugby and football, Formula 1 and Majors golf
