Waterford manager Derek McGrath believes getting a trophy in the cabinet is "huge" for the county going forward.

The Deise beat Cork yesterday to win the Allianz Hurling League title and speaking to Newstalk's Oisin Langan after the game, McGrath did not look to downplay what it means for the county.

"It looks huge for Waterford. Waterford isn't trophy-laden. We've only won [the league] in '63 and 2007 so it's a massive experience for all our guys," he said.

McGrath also hinted that they could make changes before they face Cork again in the Munster championship in five weeks time.

"We may have to tweak it in five weeks time because Cork will have a huge look at how we played, so we may change it up with Sunday five weeks in mind," he said.
