It has been a sudden promotion for Tim Sherwood.
On Sunday as Tottenham were being ripped to pieces by Liverpool, Sherwood was a member of the coaching staff.
But by Monday, the ex-Premier League-winning Blackburn captain had been given the top job on an interim basis following Andre Villas Boas' sacking.
Many names are being linked with the Spurs job but Sherwood, who is well regarded at White Hart Lane by fans and the chairman, has an outside chance of staying on for the rest of the season - and perhaps even beyond.
But what is the former Spurs midfielder like in the dressing room?
To find out Ger spoke to his former team-mate Jeff Kenna who remembers a "big strong character" with a "great knowledge of football".
The Dubliner believes that Sherwood is "management material, without a doubt".
In a Blackburn dressing room with seasoned England internationals like Tim Flowers and Alan Shearer, Sherwood stood out as captain.
"If something needed to be said, he wasn't shy of saying it. Digging people out wasn't a problem for him. I don't see a problem on that side," said Kenna, who picked up 27 Ireland caps during the late 90s.
"But he talked a lot of sense. He didn't rant for the sake of ranting. He knew the point he wanted to make and was astute enough to get it across."
