The Spanish sports media have been reporting that Barcelona manager Tata Martino is set to depart the club in the summer.
They are also reporting that Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp is Barca's prime choice to replace the Argentine.
Martino has come under increasing pressure as Barcelona's season peters out.
The club lost 1 - 0 at Granada on Saturday to seriously dent their hopes of retaining the La Liga title, while they exited the Champions League at the hands of Atletico Madrid. That European defeat at the quarter-final stage was their earliest exit since the 2006-07 season when they lost to Liverpool in the last-16.
Barcelona-based sports daily Sport has claimed that the club "will have a new manager next season" despite the fact that Martino signed a two-year deal when he was appointed last summer.
They go on to claim that Martino does not feel comfortable at the club and that the hierarchy do not believe that he can reinvigorate the squad.
Although Sport acknowledge that Klopp's style does not fit with Barca's tiki taka template, some parts of the clubs hierarchy believe a motivator in the Klopp mould is required and believe he has an edge on Atletico boss Diego Simeone.
Meanwhile, Madrid-based AS say that Barca will appoint Germany manager Jogi Low if Klopp is unattainable. The latter has a deal with Dortmund which runs until 2017.
