Brendan Irvine has had to settle for silver at the inaugural European Games.
The Belfast teenager was narrowly beaten in the Light-flyweight final after a split decision.
The 19-year-old was well beaten in the opening round but appeared to dominate the rest of the fight against Russian, Bator Sagaluev.

However, the Irvince's more experienced opponent held out to score at vital moments to edge the contest and take the gold medal.
