Ireland will face Germany, Poland, Scotland, Georgia and Gibraltar in qualifying group D for Euro 2016.
The draw presents a challenge, but not an overly worrying one, as Poland, ranked 70th in the world, will likely battle with Ireland, and perhaps Scotland, for the second automatic qualifying spot.
The third placed side goes to a playoff.
