Italian giants Inter Milan have signed a native of Co Clare.

Ryan Patrick Nolan (15) has signed a three-year deal with the Serie A side from his Spanish club Torre Pacheco.

Nolan, originally from Shannon in Co Clare, has lived in Spain for the past six years according to The Herald and will link up with the club's academy.

He will not be the first Irish player to represent Inter at underage or senior level, following in the footsteps of Ireland greats Liam Brady and Robbie Keane.

The defender has played for Ireland's U15s.
