15-year-old Pranav Dhanawade has become the first player in the history of cricket to score more than 1,000 runs in a single innings.

Dhanawade scored 1009 not out which included 59 sixes and 129 fours. He was at the crease for five and a half hours, and faced less than 350 balls. His KC Gandhi School declared on 1,465-3 after lunch on Day 2 of their game.

The innings score is over double the 501 not out that Brian Lara scored in 1994 for Warwickshire, which remains the highest score in the history of first-class cricket.

Dhanawade's historic innings even caught the attention of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.
