Mayo managed to overcome a second half Cork comeback to win the U-21 All-Ireland final in Ennis on Saturday afternoon on a scoreline of 5-07 to 1-14.
Cork were in an excellent position as the first entered injury time leading by three points over their opponents but two goals and a point in the space of a couple of minutes flipped the game on its head and saw the eventual winners go in at the break 2-05 to 0-07 to the good.
Mayo would not trail for the remainder of the dame despite some shaky moments late in the second half.
The Lee-siders pulled level as the second half ticked by but two goals in the last five minutes was enough to see Mayo run out eventual winners by five points.
