Ian Madigan has been sidelined for four weeks after sustaining a groin injury while playing for Bordeaux-Bègles.

The former Leinster player suffered tendonitis in his groin during his side's recent defeat to Castres in a Top 14 clash. The injury is expected to see him stay out of action for the next four weeks, meaning he will miss upcoming fixtures against Grenoble, La Rochelle and a home game against Stade Français this coming Saturday.

Additionally, Bordeaux-Bègles, who currently sit in sixth place on the Top 14 table, have also lost the services of lock Jandré Marais who has been ruled out for three months with a calf issue.
