Northern Irishman Michael Hoey is enjoying an excellent third round at the Russian Open in Moscow, as he has gone into the lead and opened up a three shot gap ahead of his nearest competitors. Hoey has picked up 6 shots between the 7th and 12th – including an eagle at the 8th - and sits three clear with just two holes to play in today’s round.
David Higgins and Gareth Shaw are also competing in Moscow, with both in the clubhouse on 2 over.
Elsewhere in golf, Graeme McDowell will resume his work at the RBC Canadian Open from 3 under, following a superb second round score of 65. The score was all the more remarkable as McDowell had shot 76 on Thursday. However, despite his good second round McDowell remains 10 off the leader, Hunter Mahan.
