New Fulham boss Felix Magath has expressed his excitement to get going as the Cottagers’ new boss, following his appointment as replacement of Rene Meulensteen.
"Here we go again, I'm coming back into football," Magath told Sky Sports.
"It's a fantastic working environment for any coach and footballer.
"This amazing club and its owner Shahid Khan have totally convinced me and given me the managerial responsibility.
"I'm looking forward to the football and, even more so, to the work."
The decision to replace Meulensteen shocked many. The Dutchman was in charge for just 17 games and, having recently earned a draw at Old Trafford and lost to a last minute penalty against Liverpool, appeared to be starting a turnaround of sorts. Reports claim Fulham want Meulensteen to remain on as Magath’s assistant.
