Jamie Heaslip has been shortlisted for European Rugby's Player of the Year award.

The Leinster captain has been joined on that list by Toulon's Steffon Armitage, Saracens' Billy Vunipola, and Clermont pair Fritz Lee and Nick Abendanon.

The winner will be announced after the Champions Cup final.

Armitage won last year's award, following in the footsteps of Jonny Wilkinson, Rob Kearney and Sean O'Brien.
