St Patrick's Athletic are currently riding the wave of a record-equalling eight-match winning run in the SSE Airtricity League.

And one of the players getting plenty of attention is Jamie McGrath (18). His club captain Ger O'Brien joined Off The Ball and ex-Shelbourne midfielder Stuart Byrne on tonight's show and was effusive in his praise of the youngster on and off the pitch.

"I'd liken him to [Chris] Forrester. When Chris came in to Bohs at 17, 18 and you stood back and realised, this is not just like playing against anybody; this fella has got something," said O'Brien.

"I've got to know him over the last year because I got to work with him in Maynooth, when I was coaching in Maynooth in the university team and he's just a joy to work with. He has that something special and you're looking forward to little 5-a-sides because you're waiting on him to do something."
