The Cork County Board have been given the green light to begin the redevelopment of Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
The final obstacle to the €70 million project has been removed after local residents reached an agreement with the County Board.
The Residents Association had previously raised objections to the proposed upgrading of the stadium to a 45,000 seater facility along with a centre of excellence as well as restaurants, conference facilities and a museum.
