Swansea say Bafetimbi Gomis is "fine" after collapsing on the pitch during their Premier League game against Tottenham at White Hart Lane last night, while the striker himself has reassured fans of the same.
The Frenchman fainted after Spurs scored their opening goal in an incident eerily reminiscent of Fabrice Muamba's cardiac arrest and collapse at the same venue back in 2012 - which caused the then-Bolton midfielder's retirement from football at the age of just 23.

Gomis, who says that his father's ill-health and his own increased travel back and forth to France may have contributed to the incident, was treated by medical staff and left the pitch conscious but wearing an oxygen mask before he was transferred to hospital for tests during the second half.
The 29-year-old has a history of fainting.

Spurs' Andros Townsend admits that he got a fright and immediately thought of Muamba.
"To be honest I looked over and it didn't look good," said the England international. "And it kind of brings your memory back to Fabrice Muamba on the same pitch.
"I'm sure I heard he's okay - yeah he's okay, so that's good news and everyone can breathe a sigh of relief."
