Galway thrashed Dublin by 28 points to 1-12 at Pearse Stadium this afternoon in the opening round of the Allianz Hurling league.
Galway led at half time by 16 point to 6 after dominating the opening 35 minutes.
Dublin's task was made even harder in the second half when Conal Keaney was sent off after 42 minutes.
Sean McGrath scored a goal for Dublin late on, but it was no more than a consolation, as the home side ran out winners by 13 points.

Elsewhere, All-Ireland Champions Clare have won their opening Allianz Hurling league game of the season.
They edged out Kilkenny in a thrilling Division 1A contest at Cusack Park in Ennis on a scoreline of 1-16 to 18 points.
Colin Ryan scored Clare's all important goal in the first half.
Despite the defeat, Kilkenny manager Brian Cody was pleased with his side's performance:
