Galway 1-12 Armagh 0-12

A Damien Comer goal eight minutes was the difference as Galway advance  into the next round of the All-Ireland football qualifiers and bring Armagh’s 2015 campaign to an end.

It was three Paul Conroy frees that kept Galway in touch in the early minutes at the Athletic Grounds and by half-time further scores from Comer and Peadar Og O Griofa had helped Galway into a 0-9 to 0-7 half-time lead with both sides playing physical defensive football.

Armagh never recovered from Comer’s 43rd minute major and Galway held on despite only registering two points after they got their goal.
