Our live game on Off The Ball today is Kilkenny v Wexford in the Leinster championship with commentary from Dave McIntyre, Brian Hogan and Jamesie O'Connor. Throw-in at Nowlan Park is at 2pm.

The Cats have had the upper hand in this match-up over the years but back in 1996, it was a golden year for the Model County as they won the Leinster and All-Ireland championships under the watchful eye of Liam Griffin.

And they took a major scalp as well in the provincial quarter-finals when they dispatched the Cats, who were in the midst of a rare summer trophy drought, by 1-14 to 0-14 with the all-important goal coming from Billy Byrne and captain Martin Storey delivering a mighty haul of 0-5.
