Galway picked up their first provincial crown in eight years as they swept aside Roscommon in the Connacht SFC replay at MacHale Park this evening.

Two goals in six minutes delivered a hammer blow from which the Rossies never looked likely to recover from, they outscored and outsmarted a shaken Roscommon outfit.

Danny Cummins netted either side of a fine Gary Sice finish and Kevin Walsh's side continue their remarkable run in this year's All-Ireland series.
