Ballyboden St Enda’s and Sixmilebridge are celebrating county glory tonight as both clubs have won their respective senior hurling championships.
Ballyboden won the Dublin title with a 3 point win over Lucan Sarsfields, winning 0-13 to 0-10 at Parnell Park.
Sixmilebridge meanwhile won the Clare title at Cusack Park, with a 2 point win over Newmarket on Fergus, and a final score of 1-10 to 0-11.
The provincial hurling action of the day saw Na Piarsaigh of Limerick take a 0-20 to 3-9 win over Waterford champions Passage.
In provincial football action Dublin football champions St. Vincent’s were 0-11 to 0-9 winners over St. Loman’s of Westmeath in the Leinster quarter final. Kildare champions Moorefield beat St. Martin’s of Wexford comfortably, winning 2-13 to 0-4 while Meath’s Summerhill joined them in the semi-finals with a 2-13 to 1-13 win over Louth club Newtown Blues.
The Connacht football semi-finals were also on this afternoon, with Castlebar Mitchers of Mayo beating Galway’s Corofin by 2-8 to 1-10, and Rocommon’s St. Brigid’s 5-15 to 1-5 winners over Leitrim champions St. Mary’s.
In Ulster Crossmaglen went out to Down champions Kilcoo, with Kilcoo taking the win by a scoreline of 3-10 to 1-08.
