France claimed their second World Cup title after romping to a 4-2 victory over Croatia in Moscow.
Goals from Antoine Griezmann, Paul Pogba and Kylian Mbappe, as well as an own goal from Mario Mandzukic, ensured Les Bleus lived up to their favourites tag.
Ivan Perisic levelled the scores at 1-1 to give Croatia hope of an unlikely triumph but France’s attacking prowess proved too much for a side who scored a late consolation goal through Mandzukic after a casual piece of goalkeeping by Hugo Lloris.
