Linfield have been in good form recently, but with the departure of manager Warren Feeney to join the management team at Newport County, there was a sense of unease amongst supporters as to who would come in.

Those fears may be allayed this evening however as it appears that there will be good news for Linfield fans, one in particular, as life-long supporter and legend of the game in Northern Ireland David Healy is being heavily tipped to take over the job.

The team are currently second in the Danske Bank Premiership (only boy goal difference), so there's a tough task ahead for Healy, who may well be unveiled as early as Wednesday evening at the League Cup game in Windsor Park against Ballinamallard.

Healy only retired from playing back in 2013 after finishing his career with Bury, but was back in the headlines (sort of) this week as Robert Lewandowski equaled his record for the most goals in European Championships qualifying campaign with 13.

David Healy. Can you believe it?
