Fomer Leinster fly half Ian McKinley has been invited to play for the Barbarians after receiving a late call up from the invitational side for a game tomorrow night versus Heriot's Rugby Club in Edinburgh.
McKinley who had to retire in 2011, lost the sight in his left after an accidental clash with the studs of a teammate's boot in a club game in 2010.
The former Ireland Under 20 international moved to Italy last year and currently plays with Viadana with the help of protective goggles.
#Baabaas squad now includes inspirational Ian McKinley @ianmck7 making 1st UK appearance since losing sight in one eye #rugby #rugbyunited
