Sean O'Driscoll looks set to be named Liverpool's new Assistant Manager. The 57 year old looks set to replace Colin Pascoe at the club.

After a season of disappointment at Anfield, the backroom staff was overhauled as Pascoe and coach Mike Marsh were sacked earlier this month. The sackings were seen as a vote of confidence in Brendan Rodgers to improve the teams performances from last season.

O'Driscoll was capped three times for Ireland under the then manager Eoin Hand in 1983. Despite playing international football, O'Driscoll made his name as a manager in the lower leagues in England including spells at Bournemouth and Doncaster.

He is expected to leave his current role as England's Under 19 head coach, to take the job at Anfield.
