FIFA have confirmed that the 2026 World Cup hosts will be chosen in May 2017.

After the controversy over Qatar, FIFA General Secretary Jerome Valcke has promised the process will be transparent "from the first minute."

All 209 countries in FIFA will get to vote on the venue.

Confirmed bids include Canada, Colombia and Mexico. 

Yesterday, football's world governing body confirmed that the 2022 World Cup final will take place on December 18th.
