Leinster's Fergus McFadden faces a hearing with the PRO12 Rugby Disciplinary Committee after he was cited for foul play.

The statement released regarding the disciplinary proceedings notes that the incident in question took place in the eighth minute of Leinster's New Year's Day victory over Connacht.

It may refer to an altercation involving Nathan White at the base of a ruck, where it appeared that the Leinster player's boot caught him in the head as he was on the ground.

The citing will "take place shortly", according to the Pro 12 Disciplinary Committee, and will look at law 10.4(b) Stamping or trampling.

McFadden faces a potential ban of several weeks for the incident if found guilty of the offence.
