Fabian Delph's debut for Manchester City has been cut short by a cruel twist of fate (or what's medically referred to as a "hamstring injury").

After just 18 minutes with his new club, Delph was stretchered off the pitch and, unsurprisingly, Twitter has not been particularly kind.
The England international courted controversy after performing a u-turn on his scrapped move to the Manchester club, provoking an angry reaction from Aston Villa fans.
