Italian World Cup-winning midfielder Gennaro Gattuso has been placed under investigation for match-fixing.
Prosecutors claim he and former Lazio player Cristian Brocchi are allegedly part of a ring that fixed Serie A matches at the end of the 2010-2011 season. His residence was also searched by investigators.
Gattuso was an AC Milan player during that season which ended with the Rossoneri winning the Scudetto.
The 35-year-old recently served as manager of Serie B side Palermo but was sacked after six games.
Investigations into the 2010-11 season also saw current Juventus manager Antonio Conte serve a 4-month touchline ban last season for failing to report match-fixing.
Several ex-Serie A players were suspended as part of the Scommessopoli investigation.
